In this article I’m going to share with you some of the changes I’ve seen this year in the public speaking industry including changes in the professional speaker training that helps you to achieve success. I’ll also show you how to take advantage of those changes, so that you can grow a more profitable business.
One of the greatest areas where change has affected professional speakers is in the meetings marketplace. There is little doubt that there are less speaking engagements available today. While the recession is considered to be a major factor, not all is lost. There are some positive aspects of change and there are great opportunities that can come with a shift in the speaker’s business model. Need an example?
Well first, there is a vast and rapidly growing market for quality information based content in every imaginable niche, delivered with passion by someone who is considered an expert on the topic. Perhaps more important is that the audience for your content is located in nearly every country on earth.
If you want to avail yourself of this amazing opportunity, you’ll need to determine the niche that suits your passions, unique skills or natural abilities, and then begin creating content that meets the needs of your audience. Next you’ll want to repurpose your content into a variety of formats so that you offer something for every learning style.
Finally, you’ll want to have a powerful web presence for the people who find you in search engines. Your website will need to offer a blog, online video and audio, be graphically appealing and provide ways for people to interact with you. Make certain to include a form where someone can register to get more information from you such as a newsletter or weekly tip of some sort.
In the marketplace today, professional speaker training needs to be focused on more than just your stage presence and speaking abilities. If the training you are getting does not, you may want to look at different options and seek expert help to be able to take full advantage of the changes and opportunities available to you.
