Free classified ads are a great way to generate income be it from your own business or if you are just looking to sell some odds and ends from around the house. The popularity of the internet actually gives a purpose back to classified ads. In the old days, you would spend a small fortune and have a one day ad in the local paper, not any more. Now you can put a free ad up on the net to a much wider audience that will stay there for weeks, month and possibly forever.

I am not talking about Google here either, all of these free sites have their own internal search engines that people use once they get there. You have to make sure your listing ends up on the top.
