How scary is it to continuosly hear all this talk about the state of the economy? Is your job hanging in the balance? No jobs out there and you lack the skills to do anything else. Would you like to start to make money on line as soon as possible?
If you said yes, then read on because I have some information here that will make it easy for you to start an on line business. This is just an outline.
Trusting people online is tough, I understand. I hope that you trust my information that I have given you here. When I first started out, I think everyone thought I had lost it. They would say things like: You’ll get scammed, don’t trust anyone or I know people who lost a fortune doing that online stuff. Well, I’m glad that I didn’t listen to them.
I hope you feel the same.
Okay, lets begin…Number one. What interests you? What are you passionate about?
This is important. If what you are passionate about has enough interest to bring you in a good amount of traffic, that would great. You’ll need to find this out through on line research.
I know of at least three really good sites for seeing what’s in vogue out there. They are: Ask.com, google news, and Yahoo answers. Check them out. If you find something that catches your attention, then really start to research that topic. Keep digging down until you can’t dig anymore. The less competion you can find for a niche, the better.
After that, you need to do some keyword research to find some phrases that can bring you some traffic. Use google’s free keyword tool. Just type that right into to your google bar,click search. Click on the first ad.
You don’t want a ton of competition with these keywords. Again, not broad. Dig down. Find phrases or longtail keywords. These are much more targeted, giving you more of a chance to get noticed by the search engines, which in turn moves you up the results page where potential buyers can find you for one of your given phrases.
Once you have found, what you hope to be, a profitable niche, you’ll need to go to Clickbank and find a product to promote.
ClickBank is the online retail outlet for 10,000 digital product vendors and over 100,000 affiliates. I took this definition off of their website, so these numbers are probably higher now. Tons of new products to promote arrive daily! Signing up is free.
So what you want to do is sign up with clickbank, write down your ID that your given, and then go find a product.
Once you find your product, you need to sign up as an affiliate or get your hoplink with that product. Meaning that you will be promoting that product and that link is the means by which the customer will find that sales page. Place it on your website. If, through the traffic that you get, that affiliate link is clicked and a sale is made, you get a commission!
Affiliates love clickbank because they have a very high commission payout.
Again, and I know I already mentioned this, but this outline is meant to point you in the right direction. Each stop along the way requires some specific work.
Alright, so now it’s time to create a landing page to drive traffic to. I recommend starting at Squidoo or Wordpress. Both are highly regarded by google. So right off the bat, you have a higher chance of getting your page ranked and seen. Both of these sites have numerous setup guides and offer alot of suggestions to get you off on the right foot.
Sending traffic to a webpage instead of just sending them to the sales page or direct linking, as it’s called, is highly favored by the major search engines. Your page will benefit from being on these sites. As will you.
It’s time to start sending traffic to your site.
There’s a couple of ways that you can drive traffic to your site. You can either do this manually, which takes time. This is also known as organic traffic. Examples of this are: Blogs, Squidoo, Ezine advertising, Article marketing, getting involved in forums, etc. The other method is paying for it. Don’t get into this until you have a lot of content of your own out there and you’ve got a steady cash flow coming in. Examples of this are: Pay per click and solo ads in ezines.
Once you have that, then you can start to study and implement the paid marketing methods. The methods I’m referring to here are pay per click and solo ad advertyising. With pay per click, you can lose alot of money real quick because quite simply….it’s complicated. Plus it’s always changing.
All these terms that I used here probably sound pretty scary! You’ll get to know them all after a while. It’s like any new venture. You learn as you go. But it’s always nice to find that one person that can show you the ropes or steer you in the right direction. Introduce you to everyone. Of course in this case, it’ll be more like introducing you to everything on line.
